I've been posting things about how to predict weather, those sorts of things that you can do yourself without a weather station or forecast from your local weather broadcaster.

One item has to do with how very clear the air gets at ground level 12 to 24 hours before a storm rolls in. If you notice, there are times when it seems that you can see farther and with much greater detail than at other times. Ive heard that some people swear by it while others call it a mythological way to predict weather.

I'd be interested in hearing how some of you predict weather. Anything you've learned from your parents or grandparents would be very interesting.

As for me, well, when my shoulder begins to throb (an old hockey injury), a storm is likely. When my shoulder and elbow throbs, a storm is DEFINITELY coming. And when my teeth ache, its going to be bad within 5 or 6 hours.

Apart from that, we have two cats. When they eat more and demand to snuggle with one of us, the weather is certainly changing for the worse.
