#MEwx Rain, fog and wind along with the Flash Flood WArning

This morning it is raining like a fire hose is on out there. We have patchy fog with a slight chance of thunderstorms later this morning, turning partly sunny with a chance of showers this afternoon. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall. Highs in the lower 60s with Southeast winds 15 to 20 mph gusting to 45 mph, becoming south around 10 mph gusting to 30 mph this afternoon.  

Tonight it will be partly cloudy with lows in the mid 40s. Winds will be South around 10 mph gusting to 20 mph in the evening, becoming light and variable.

We’ve received 1.73 inches of rainfall here over the past 24 hours and it isn’t over with by a long shot.

The  wind is Southeast between  3.4 MPH and 12.1 MPH. 

The Relative pressure is 28.96, the Absolute pressure is 29.16 and falling with a weather graphic indicating overcast and rain.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Lewiston, Auburn, Brunswick, Augusta, Waterville, Farmington,
Gardiner, Bethel, Turner and Oakland.

Morning commuters should plan for additional travel times due to
increased risk of road closures and detours across the warning area.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
