  Flash Flood Warning for... 
  Kennebec County in south central Maine... Northwestern Lincoln County in south central Maine...  
  Northwestern Sagadahoc County in south central Maine... Western Waldo County in south central Maine...  
  Northeastern Androscoggin County in southwestern Maine... Northeastern Cumberland County in southwestern Maine...  
  Somerset County in west central Maine... Southeastern Franklin County in western Maine...  
  East Central Oxford County in western Maine... 
* Until 1100 AM EDT.  
  * At 510 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.  
  Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin  
  shortly. 
  
  
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.  
  SOURCE...Radar. 
  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban 
  areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as 
  other poor drainage and low-lying areas. 
  
  * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... 
  Lewiston, Auburn, Brunswick, Augusta, Waterville, Farmington, 
  Gardiner, Bethel, Turner and Oakland. 
  
  Morning commuters should plan for additional travel times due to 
  increased risk of road closures and detours across the warning area. 
  PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... 
  Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
  deaths occur in vehicles.
