Tonight we’ll have mostly cloudy skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms this evening, then partly cloudy with a chance of showers after midnight. Some thunderstorms may produce damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall this evening. Lows in the lower 50s. Light and variable winds, becoming west around 10 mph after midnight.

PEANUTTY SNACK MIX

9 cups

5 cups Honey Nut Cheerios® cereal

1 cup pretzel sticks

¼ cup creamy peanut butter

2 tbsp butter or margarine

1 cup raisins

1 cup honey-roasted peanuts

1 cup dried banana chips

1 cup candy-coated chocolate candies

Heat oven to 350°. Mix cereal and pretzels in large bowl.  Heat peanut butter and butter to boiling in 1 quart saucepan, stirring occasionally; pour over cereal mixture. Toss until evenly coated. Spread in ungreased rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.   Bake uncovered 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Remove from oven; stir in rasins and peanuts, Spread over waxed paper; cool completely, about 1 hour.  Stir in banana chips and candies.  Store in airtight container.

Substitution: Miniature pretzel twists can be used instead of pretzel sticks.
