As I continue with the fish theme I couldn’t resist a shrimp recipe. Yeas, I know, Shrimp isn’t really “a fish.” But hey, are you going to refuse to eat any of it?
SHRIMP CASSEROLE
Serves: 8
1 cup cut-up shrimp
1 ¼ cup soft bread crumbs
1 tsp. mustard
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
½ small onion, minced
½ small green pepper, minced
2 tbsp. butter
1 cup milk
2 tbsp. flour
3 tbsp. melted butter
- Sauté ½ minced onion, and ½ minced green pepper in 2 tbsp. butter.
- Make a cream sauce using 1 cup milk, 2 tbsp. flour, 3 tbsp. melted butter.
- Combine cream sauce and onion and pepper mixture with 1 cup shrimp, 1 ¼ cups soft bread crumbs, 1 tsp. mustard, and 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce. Bake slowly at 300 degrees for 1 hour.
