Statement as of 4:18 am EST on January 5, 2014

Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 7 PM this evening to

7 am EST Monday...

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Weather

Advisory which is in effect from 7 PM this evening to 7 am EST

Monday.

* Hazard types...

* accumulations... light accumulations of a tenth of an inch of

ice.

* Timing... precipitation will move into New Hampshire this evening

and will overspread western Maine before midnight.

* Impacts... slick roads making travel hazardous.

* Temperatures... around 30... gradually rising above freezing

through Monday morning.

* Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at times in areas of

dense fog.

 

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or

freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for

slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while

driving..
