Drier and more sun

Good Morning Augusta. .
This morning it is mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, then partly cloudy
with a chance of rain. High of 59F. Winds from the South at 5 to 10 mph.
Chance of rain 30%.
Tonight it will be partly cloudy with a chance of rain. Low of 37F. Winds
less than 5 mph. Chance of rain 20%.
The readings outside right now, taken from my own weather instruments:
a relative humidity of 81% with a Dew Point of 46.2ºF.
The temperature is 52ºF with a very low wind chill.
Presently we have Southeast winds between 0.2 mph and 1.4 mph.
Our Barometric pressure is 29.68 and rising with a weather graphic
indicating sun.
We had no precipitation overnight in the area.
Visibility is 10.0 miles with "few" clouds to 2,500 feet.
If you ever wanted to try aerial photography and you want to do something
that is fun, relatively inexpensive and gets the kids outside, why not try
making the following "Kite-Cam" sometime this summer?
1. Buy a CVS One-Time-Use video camera ($20-$30 USD). Use the CVS
Storefinder to find the nearest store. You might want to call in to see if
they have the camcorder since it is not stocked in all stores.
2. Build a USB connection cable and install the software. See these web
sites for more info:
http://www.makezine.com - Hacking guide with instructions on building a
cable using a serial cable.
http://www.i-hacked.com - Hacking guide with instructions on building a
cable using a cradle .
3. Attach a strap to your camera. I used stick on velcro and material from
an old sail.
4. Attach velcro to your kite. I attached the camera to the center strut,
about 1/4 of the length back from the leading edge. This placement should
not effect flying and results in a decently centered image.
5. Turn on camera, attach it to your kite and go nuts, but try to keep the
camera out of the water (it is not waterproof). The camera has around 20
minutes of filming time.
6. To view the movies, you will need to install the XviD Codec:
