Blizzard Warning expires 8:00 AM EDT on March 15, 2017 Statement as of 2:43 PM EDT on March 14, 2017 Blizzard Warning in effect until 8 am EDT Wednesday. The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Blizzard Warning which is in effect until 8 am EDT Wednesday. The Winter Storm Warning is no longer in effect. * Hazard types... heavy snow. * Accumulations... snow accumulation of 14 to 18 inches. * Timing... the heaviest snow and most significant impacts are  expected this afternoon. * Temperatures... in the upper 20s. * Winds... northeast 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at times. * Impacts... heavy snow today and tonight combined with gusty winds and blowing snow... will create blizzard conditions at times and lead to dangerous travel. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibilities are likely.
