NORTHWESTERN WALDO...SOUTHEASTERN SOMERSET AND SOUTHERN FRANKLIN
COUNTIES THROUGH 400 PM EDT
At 3:20 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles south of Kingsbury Plantation to 7
miles west of Madison to 6 miles northwest of Phillips. Movement was
east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Farmington, Fairfield, Skowhegan, Pittsfield, Madison, Clinton,
Bingham, Phillips, Norridgewock, Weld, Wilton, Anson, Canaan,
Hartland, Cornville, Burnham, Athens, Harmony, Embden, and Detroit.
This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 139 and 157.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
