* WHAT...Heat indices in the mid-90s expected.

* WHERE...In Maine, Central Interior Cumberland, Kennebec,

Androscoggin, and Interior York Counties. In New Hampshire,

Belknap, Strafford, Southern Carroll, and Southern Grafton

Counties.

* WHEN...From Noon to 6 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat

illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of

the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
