FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM NOON EDT TODAY THROUGH THIS EVENING.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Maine, including the following areas, Kennebec

and Northern Oxford. Portions of northern New Hampshire, including

the following area, Northern Coos.

* WHEN...From Noon EDT today through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,

creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- Following morning showers and thunderstorms, additional

scattered and strong thunderstorms will be capable of

producing heavy rainfall in excess of 2 inches in an hour.

Localized amounts of 3-4 inches will be possible. Saturated

soil conditions will cause rainfall to runoff into rivers and

streams, which remain high.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor the latest forecast and be alert for possible

Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be

prepared to take action should flooding develop.
