Visibility is 10.0 miles / 16.1 kilometers with clear skies until those skies move in this evening.

We haven’t received any rain here over the past 24 hours.

The big debate is tomorrow.  I’ve already been hearing drum-beaters from each party trying to “pre-discredit” the other candidate before the cameras are even turned on.

We’re all pre-hardened to electoral B.S. like this, but somehow this season the fertilizer seems to be deeper than in past elections.

Perhaps the truly disturbing part of this election season is how many mature, supposedly intelligent voters who say things like: “I’m going to watch just to see how many more lies he/she is going to tell.”  That is how effective the campaigns have been in closing minds.

Again, try to keep an open mind.  Many years ago I’d judged debates at a university for college level debate teams. I’ve learned that When a fair debate is held you usually get to see the “true colors” of a candidate.  Sometimes that color is truth, sometimes it’s deception.

A frank and open mind on the part of the voters is called for.  Good lluck with that.
