The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow... sleet... and freezing rain... which is in effect from noon Thursday to noon EST Friday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect. * Hazard types... heavy snow... sleet... and freezing rain. * Accumulations... snow accumulation of 6 to 12 inches... along with up to one tenth of an inch of ice. * Timing... snow should begin from south to north during the late morning hours Thursday. At this time it looks like the heaviest snow would be Thursday night. A change over to sleet and freezing rain is possible overnight Thursday night before precipitation ends as snow Friday morning. * Impacts... significant travel delays possible with snow covered roads. At this time it looks like the heaviest snow would be Thursday night... then end sometime early Friday morning. * Impacts... significant travel delays possible with snow covered roads. Clear and cold

Good morning Augusta. We remain under a winter storm watch – so get prepared. This morning it is clear. High of 23F. Winds less than 5 mph. Tonight it will be clear in the evening, then partly cloudy. Low of 12F. Winds less than 5 mph. The readings from my own instruments are: The humidity is 61% with a Dew Point of -9ºF and a wind chill of 3.6ºF. The temperature Is   3.6ºF. The Wind is East between 0.4 MPH and 1.3 MPH. Our Barometric pressure is 30.79   HPA 1032 and rising with a weather graphic indicating sun.     Our UV rating is 1 out of 16, sunset will be at 5:03 PM with Moon Rise at 3:12 p.m. EST and the moon phase is Waxing Gibbous. For the pilots out there, Raw Metar readings are: METAR KAUG 121253Z AUTO 30003KT 10SM CLR M16/M22 A3046 RMK AO2 SLP325 T11561222 Visibility is 10.0 miles/16.1 Kilometers with a clear  and cold ceiling. We have had   no snow here in the past 24 hours.
