Clouds, fog, rain and a great dessert recipe for a pack of kids on summer vacation

This morning it’s cloudy with light rain, then a chance of an isolated thunderstorm in the afternoon. High 64ºF. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70%.

Tonight we’ll have scattered thunderstorms with some fog developing overnight. Low 52ºF. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

VOLCANO CAKE

1 box chocolate cake mix

1 can cherry pie filling

Chocolate cookie crumbs

Chocolate ice cream

Prepare a chocolate cake mix according to the package directions.  Bake in a bundt pan; invert onto serving platter and cool completely. Fill hole in the center of the cake with scoops of ice cream. Top with cherry pie filling (lava) and drizzle down sides of the cake. Sprinkle top of volcano with crushed cookie crumbs.
