Winter Weather Advisory statement as of 3:48 am EST on November 29, 2016
Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 8 am this morning to 4 PM EST this afternoon.
The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Weather
Advisory for snow and freezing rain... which is in effect from 8 am this morning to 4 PM EST this afternoon.
* Hazard types... snow transitioning to freezing rain.
* Accumulations... snow accumulation of up to 1 inch... along with
around a tenth of an inch of ice.
* Timing... light snow transitions to freezing rain this morning
and continues into this afternoon before changing to rain.
* Impacts... roads may become snow covered and icy. Freezing rain
will make exposed surfaces very slippery and could make driving
dangerous.
* Winds... 5 mph or less.
* Temperatures... in the mid 20s to the low 30s.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
