Statement as of 3:12 am EDT on March 13, 2014

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until noon EDT today...

* hazard types... snow and blowing snow.

* Accumulations... additional accumulations of 1 to 3 inches.

* Timing... occasional light snow will taper off late this morning

or early afternoon.

* Impacts... snow covered and slippery roads.

* Winds... north 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Gusts up to

50 mph possible this morning.

* Visibilities... half mile or less at times this morning.

* Temperatures... teens.

 

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...

sleet... and ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also

possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
