Franklin County... Waldo County and Kennebec County through 930 PM EDT...
At 839 PM EDT National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a strong
thunderstorm centered along a line extending from 10 miles northwest of The
Forks to 4 miles southwest of Flagstaff Lake to 5 miles southwest of
Byron... or along a line extending from 16 miles south of Jackman to 10
miles east of Eustis to 11 miles northwest of Rumford... moving east at 65
mph. This strong thunderstorm will affect areas in and around Rangeley Lake
State Park... Stratton... South Arm... Redington... Rangeley... Madrid...
Flagstaff Lake... Eustis...
Dallas and Byron through 930 PM EDT.
Excessive cloud-to-ground lightning can be expected. Postpone outdoor
activities promptly. Go quickly inside a completely enclosed building.
If you are outdoors and storms approach your location... move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember... lightning can strike more than 5 miles away
from the parent thunderstorm.
