Good morning Augusta.  

This morning it is partly cloudy with a High of 45F. Winds less than 5 mph.

Tonight it will remain partly cloudy with an expected Low of 25F with a windchill as low as 19F. Winds from the North at 5 to 10 mph.

The readings taken from my own weather instrumentation are:

A relative humidity of 87% with a Dew Point of 23.8ºF and a wind chill of ºF.    

The temperature is 28.3ºF.

Presently we have  almost no winds puffing between 2.5 MPH and 2.7 MPH. 

Our Barometric pressure is 30.14/HPA 1020.6 and falling with a weather graphic indicating rain.

The UV rating is 0 out of 16, sunset will be at 4:06 PM with Moon Rise at 12:06 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, and the moon phase is waxing crescent.

Visibility is 10.0 miles/16.1 Kilometers with a few clouds and a clear ceiling.

We have had no rain overnight in this area.

Xmas time and the holidays in general are widely viewed as being escapism, and too much nostalgia. I am every bit of guilty as they claim for feeling exactly like that.

Brings to mind what CS Lewis wrote:

"Who are those the most opposed to escapism? Jailers."
