Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Gray ME 5:00 PM EDT Thu Aug 26 2021 A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN KENNEBEC AND CENTRAL ANDROSCOGGIN COUNTIES. At 500 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located between Turner and Auburn , moving east at 20 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm. Locations impacted include... Lewiston, Turner, Litchfield, Lisbon, Greene, Leeds, Wales, Monmouth, Sabattus and Minot. This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 83 and 90. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
