#MEwx Warm and sunny, some rain possible and whether science proves moon phases affect human activity

Good morning Augusta

This morning we have mostly cloudy skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, then partly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the upper 70s with light and variable winds.

Tonight we’ll have partly cloudy conditions with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this evening, turning mostly cloudy after midnight. Areas of fog with lows in the lower 60s. Winds will remain light and variable.

The outdoor temperature is 61.7°F, the dewpoint is 61.4°F and it feels like 61.7°F.

We didn’t receive any rain here over the past 24 hours.

Sunrise is 5:06 am, sunset is 8:24 PM and we’ll have 15 hours 17 minutes of daylight today.

Moonrise is 9:18  PM,  Moonset is 5:19 AM. The moon phase is a FULL MOON and is xx% illuminated. Our next full moon will be on August 9 and our next new moon is on July 24.

The wind is from the South Southeast between 1.3 MPH and 2.5 MPH.

The Relative pressure is 29.81, the Absolute pressure is 29.61 and rising with a weather graphic indicating sun and clouds.

The humidity is 99%, the UV index is 0 placing the average person at low risk and the solar radiation reading is 32.3W/M2.

Visibility is 10.0 miles / 16.1 Kilometers with cloudy skies.

Recently I’ve done some research online about whether or not science has been able to show that phases of the moon, such as a full moon effects human behavior.

Sadly, science STILL falls back on studies that reinforce previous studies “clearly showing” that the moon has no effect on what “we” do during the full of the moon.

My father was a police officer, my sister in law is a career Emergency Room nurse, my brother was a paramedic prior to retirement, my wife was a court clerk and I worked in the medical benefits industry as an attorney for my entire legal career where I saw it every single month.

According to science all of us are wrong and they’re right. But then again, this is the same field of study that always said there was no medical benefit to eating chicken soup and that Barometric pressure had no impact on such things as aches and pains, sinus headaches or blood pressure. At one point they also insisted that the world is flat. (Has anyone researched the latest conspiracy theory on that last one?)

I guess we’ll just have to wait for science to prove themselves wrong again.
