Light snow will overspread the area late this afternoon and early this evening. Snow will taper off overnight and change to a period of freezing rain or freezing drizzle, which should continue into Tuesday morning.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 4 PM EST TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations
between 1 and 3 inches and ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch.
* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, west central, and
western Maine and central and northern New Hampshire.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 4 PM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Snow will change over to a period of freezing rain and
freezing drizzle. It is recommended not to plow your driveway and
walkways until the storm has ended. Even light snowfall amounts
can accumulate on roads and cause dangerous driving conditions due
to snow covered roads. The hazardous conditions could impact the
Tuesday morning commute.
