Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Maine...
Kennebec River at Hallowell affecting Sagadahoc and Kennebec
Counties.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY MONDAY MORNING
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Kennebec River at Hallowell.
* WHEN...Until early Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water enters the back side of buildings
along Water Street. Front Street becomes completely submerged. The
parking lot by town dock flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:36 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 12.3 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:36 AM EDT Saturday was 12.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river will oscillate above flood stage with a
maximum value of 13.6 feet this evening. It will fall below
flood stage late tomorrow evening.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
