Weather Advisory update
Winter Weather Advisory statement as of 5:50 am EST on March 2, 2016
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 am EST this
morning.
* hazard types... snow... sleet... and freezing rain.
* Accumulations... snow and sleet accumulation of 2 to 4 inches... along
with around a trace of ice.
* Timing... snow changing to a mixture of snow... sleet... and
freezing rain this morning. Temperatures will warm and a
change to plain rain is expected by midday. The precipitation
will end by mid afternoon.
* Impacts... a combination of snow... sleet... and freezing rain
will make travel treacherous.
* Winds... south 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* Temperatures... in the mid 30s.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
