Weather Advisory update
Winter Weather Advisory statement as of 3:32 am EST on March 1, 2016
Winter Weather Advisory now in effect from midnight tonight to
noon EST Wednesday.
* hazard types... snow... sleet... and freezing rain.
* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches with locally
higher amounts possible... along with around a tenth of an inch
of ice.
* Timing... snow will begin around midnight tonight then change to
a mixture of snow... sleet... and freezing rain late tonight
through midday Wednesday. Temperatures will warm and a change to
plain rain is expected by midday Wednesday. The precipitation
will end by mid afternoon.
* Impacts... a combination of snow... sleet... and freezing rain will
make travel treacherous.
* Winds... southeast 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* Temperatures... in the lower 30s.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
