Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
northern Androscoggin County in southwest Maine...
southern Somerset County in west central Maine...
central Oxford County in western Maine...
northern Carroll County in northern New Hampshire...
southeastern Franklin County in western Maine...
Waldo County in south central Maine...
Kennebec County in south central Maine...
southeastern Coos County in northern New Hampshire...
northeastern Grafton County in northern New Hampshire...

* at 246 PM EDT Doppler weather radar showed heavy rain moving into
portions of northern New Hampshire and central Maine. This rain is
falling into areas that have already received between two and four
inches of rain. Additional heavy rainfall... around an inch with
local amounts up to two inches... could lead to minor flooding.
The heavy rain will be moving through this area through this
afternoon with the rain letting up by 5 PM in many areas. This Flood
Advisory covers a large area from the White Mountains of New
Hampshire to portions of the foothills of western Maine across the
capital region to Waldo County.

southern Franklin... southern Oxford and southern Somerset. In
New Hampshire... Belknap... Merrimack... northern Carroll...
northern Grafton... southern Carroll... southern Grafton...
Strafford and Sullivan.
* Until 9 PM EDT this evening
* showers and scattered thunderstorms will bring locally heavy
rainfall to southern and central New Hampshire as well as
interior Maine through this evening. This may result in rapid
rises on area streams and localized flash flooding.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
