Winter Weather Advisory expires 2:00 AM EDT on April 13, 2013
Statement as of 5:55 am EDT on April 12, 2013
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 2 PM this
afternoon to 2 am EDT Saturday.
* locations... interior midcoast Maine.
* Hazard types... snow and sleet... and possibly some pockets of
freezing rain.
* Accumulations... snow and sleet accumulation of up to 1
inch... along with around a trace of ice.
* Timing... snow will spread across the region this afternoon.
The snow will then mix with sleet and continue through the
evening.
* Impacts... roads will become slippery.
* Winds... northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* Temperatures... in the mid 30s.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
