Winter Weather Advisory now in effect from 11 am Friday to 2 am EDT
Saturday.
* locations... Kennebec and interior Waldo counties in Maine.
* Hazard types... snow and sleet mixing with rain... and possibly
some pockets of freezing rain.
* Accumulations... snow accumulation of up to 1 inch... along with
around a trace of ice.
* Timing... snow and sleet will spread across the region Friday
morning... changing to mainly sleet by afternoon.
* Impacts... roads will become slippery.
* Winds... east 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
* Temperatures... in the mid 30s.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
