Our Barometric pressure is 30.01/HPA 1016.1 and falling with a weather graphic indicating rain.
The UV rating is 0 out of 16, sunset will be at 5:33 PM with Moon Rise at 4:41 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, and the moon phase is waxing gibbous.
For the pilots out there: Raw METAR is
METAR KAUG 281153Z AUTO 02008KT 10SM OVC009 07/04 A3009 RMK AO2 SLP190 T00720044 10100 20067 53007 $
Visibility is 10.0 miles/16.1 Kilometers with overcast to 900 ft / 274 m
We have had no rain in this area in the past 24 hours.
As usual, the NWS and National Hurricane center can't decide where the storm will make landfall. Use common sense and take care of yourself. Remember FEMA and Katrina.
Sandy is coming and she's going to merge with a winter storm from the west and a Canadian cold front. Hunker down folks, make sure you gas for the generator and enough gas to drive out of town if it gets really bad.
