Cold, windy and snow

Good morning Augusta. We are under a wind advisory so drive careful. This morning we have a mix of clouds and sun with gusty winds. High 17F. Winds WNW at 20 to 30 mph. Tonight we will have some clouds. Low 7F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. The readings from my own weather instruments are: The humidity is 50% with a dew point of -1.9ºF , Temperature is  13.3ºF and a wind chill of -4.3ºF Our wind direction is West Southwest between 12.1 MPH and 14.5 MPH. Wind Advisory update

Wind Advisory Statement as of 3:01 PM EDT on March 18, 2015 Wind Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM EDT this afternoon. * winds... northwest 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * Timing... strongest winds will be prior to 5 PM... and then gradually diminish overnight. * Impacts... strong wind gusts may make steering difficult while  driving... especially for high profile vehicles. Wind gusts  will also pick up salt and sand from treated roads and parking  lots... suspending these particles in the air. Blowing salt  and sand will make facing into the wind especially difficult.   Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts up to of 50 mph are expected.
