A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.

Cold, clear and a bit icy out there.

Good morning Augusta. Don’t put the snow shovel away just yet, there’s snow tonight with up to 3 inches possible. This morning it is mostly cloudy with a chance of snow. Fog early. High of 25F with a windchill as low as 5F. Winds from the South at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 30%. Tonight it will be mostly cloudy with a chance of snow in the evening, then overcast with snow. Low of 18F. Winds from the SW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 60% with accumulations up to 3 in. possible.  The readings from my own weather instruments are: The humidity is 75% with a dew point of -0.3ºF , Temperature is 7.9ºF and a wind chill of  7/9ºF Our wind direction is South between 0.3 MPH and  1.1 MPH.  The Barometric pressure is 30.29 HPA 1025 and rising with a weather graphic indicating sun. The UV rating is 0 out of 16, Sunrise is at 6:53 a.m. sunset is 4:52 PM and Moon Rise is 5:53 p.m. EDT and we are still in aFull moon. Good morning Augusta. “Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas” out there isn’t it? This morning it is partly cloudy. High of 14F with a windchill as low as -13F. Winds from the WNW at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight it will be partly cloudy. Low of 3F. Winds less than 5 mph. The readings from my own weather instruments are: The humidity is 65% with a dew point of -10ºF , Temperature is 1.1ºF and a wind chill of  -16ºF Our wind direction is Southwest between 6.3 MPH and  15.1 MPH.  The Barometric pressure is 30.07 HPA 1018 and rising with a weather graphic indicating sun. The UV rating is 0 out of 16, Sunrise is at 6:55 a.m. sunset is 4:50 PM and Moon Rise is 4:55 p.m. EDT and we have Full moon. AFternoon readings

Good afternoon Augusta. IT is still snowing and blowing outside, and this is an afternoon readings set. things are downright nasty out there. The readings from my own weather instruments are: The humidity is 69% with a dew point of -8ºF , Temperature is -2.0ºF. and a wind chill of -19.3ºF Our wind direction remains unchanged out of the North between 7.2MPH and  16.7MPH. That is giving us some very nasty wind chill temperatures.  The Barometric pressure is 29.78 HPA 1008 and falling with a weather graphic indicating snow. There is no UV rating because of the snow. For the pilots out there Raw Metar is: SPECI KAUG 022008Z AUTO 01016G23KT 1/4SM +SN VV012 M19/M22 A2969 RMK AO2 PRESFR P0000 T11891217 Visibility is 0.2 miles/0.4 Kilometers with blowing snow. We have had roughly 5 inches of snow thus far and it is still coming down at a pretty fair clip.

Good morning Augusta. The temperatures out there will be lower than the spirits of the Seattle Seahawks. This morning it is overcast with snow. High of 5F with a windchill as low as -17F. Winds from the NNE at 5 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 100% with accumulations up to 4 in. possible. Tonight it will be overcast with snow in the evening, then mostly cloudy with a chance of snow. Low of -2F with a windchill as low as -17F. Breezy. Winds from the NNW at 15 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 90% with accumulations up to 7 in. possible.  The readings from my own weather instruments are: The humidity is 69% with a dew point of -9ºF , Temperature is 7.0ºF. and a wind chill of -02.1 ºF Our wind direction is North between 6.3 MPH and  11.7 MPH.  The Barometric pressure is 30.10 HPA 1019 and falling with a weather graphic indicating snow. Winter Storm Warning Statement as of 3:57 am EST on February 2, 2015 Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 7 am this morning to 3 am EST Tuesday. * accumulations... snow accumulation of 8 to 12 inches. * Hazard types... heavy snow. * Timing... snow will continue through the day... then taper off tonight. * Impacts... snow covered roads could lead to hazardous travel  conditions. * Winds... north 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * Temperatures... 4 below to 9 above zero.   Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel keep an extra flashlight... food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
