* At 820 AM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
extending from near Manchester to near Naples to near Alton, moving
southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to
blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than
one-quarter mile. Wind gusts up to 35 mph.

IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 295 between mile markers 25 and 27, and between mile
markers 31 and 51.
Interstate 89 between mile markers 0 and 8, and between mile markers
10 and 16.
Interstate 93 between mile markers 29 and 53.
Interstate 95 between mile markers 56 and 116.
Locations impacted include...
Concord, Lewiston, Rochester, Auburn, Brunswick, Augusta, Laconia,
Westbrook, Gardiner, Bridgton, Mechanic Falls, Alfred, Sanford,
Naples, Topsham, Ossipee, Northwood, Turner, Cumberland, and Gorham.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Reduce speed and turn on headlights! During snow squalls, the
visibility may suddenly drop to near zero in whiteout conditions.
