An area of heavy snow showers will affect central Kennebec...
southern Oxford...northern Androscoggin...southeastern Somerset...
northwestern Cumberland...southeastern Franklin...southeastern
Coos...northern Sullivan...Grafton and Carroll Counties...
At 7:03 AM EST...An area of heavy snow showers was along a line
extending from 6 miles south of Kingsbury Plantation to near Rumford
to Fairlee...and moving south AT 30 MPH.
Locations impacted include...
Auburn, Waterville, Claremont, Lebanon, Conway, Farmington,
Fairfield, Bridgton, Fryeburg, Mechanic Falls, Bethel, Bethlehem,
Lincoln, Plymouth, Skowhegan, Pittsfield, Oakland, Moultonborough,
Rumford, and Turner.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 89 between mile markers 36 and 60.
Interstate 93 between mile markers 75 and 111.
Interstate 95 between mile markers 121 and 142, and between mile
markers 144 and 156.

This also includes...
Crawford Notch State Park, Franconia Notch, Mount Moosilauke,
Rumney Rocks, and Cannon Mountain.

* Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a half mile in this
area of heavy snow showers.
* Sudden and brief snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are
possible in this area of heavy snow showers.
Travel is not advised during these heavy snow showers. Rapid
visibility reduction and potentially icy roads are likely to lead to
accidents. Consider delaying travel until the snow showers pass your
location. If traveling pull off to a safe location.
Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
