Areal Flood Watch Statement as of 3:10 am EDT on September 30, 2015

Flood Watch remains in effect through Thursday morning.

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of western Maine and New Hampshire... including the

following areas... in western Maine... Androscoggin... central and

southern Somerset... Cumberland... Waldo... York... Kennebec...

 Knox... Lincoln... Franklin... Oxford... and Sagadahoc. In New

Hampshire... Belknap... Cheshire... Rockingham... Hillsborough...

 Merrimack... Carroll... Coos... Grafton... Strafford... and Sullivan.

* Through Thursday morning.

* Rainfall totals of three to as much as five inches may push

smaller rivers and streams to bankfull by evening... with some

urban and localized drainage flooding possible as well.

 

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on

current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible

flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be

prepared to take action should flooding develop.
