Special Statement as of 6:53 PM EST on January 9, 2016 Roads will become slick this evening across interior portions of southern New Hampshire and Maine. A mix of light freezing drizzle and light snow will continue off and on through midnight across interior southern New Hampshire and interior portions of southern Maine. Temperatures at or slightly below freezing will allow colder roads surfaces to freeze especially in colder valley locations. Areal Flood Watch statement as of 3:22 PM EST on January 9, 2016 Flood Watch in effect from Sunday afternoon through late Sunday night. The National Weather Service in gray has issued a * Flood Watch for portions of western Maine and New Hampshire.  including the following areas... in western Maine...  Androscoggin... interior Cumberland... interior Waldo...  Kennebec... southern Franklin... southern Oxford and southern Somerset. In New Hampshire... Belknap... Merrimack... Carroll... southern Grafton and Sullivan. * From Sunday afternoon through late Sunday night * the combination of heavy rainfall and snow melt may push some rivers and streams to bankfull late Sunday and Sunday night.   Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Good Morning Augusta This morning we have mainly cloudy conditions with a mixture of rain and snow showers developing during the afternoon hours. Highs will be at or above 36ºF. Special Statement as of 3:08 am EST on January 9, 2016 Icy patches possible this morning. light drizzle and light snow flurries will occur through the morning hours. The temperature will be below freezing in many areas... creating the potential for freezing drizzle. Even areas where the temperature rises above freezing could still have ground temperatures below freezing... allowing ice to form on untreated roadways. Travelers should use caution and be alert for patches of ice on roadways through Saturday morning.   308 am EST Sat Jan 9 2016

Special Statement as of 3:24 PM EST on January 8, 2016 Icy spots are possible tonight and early Saturday. The light flow off the ocean will produce some scattered snow showers overnight across much of the area. Some spotty light drizzle or freezing drizzle may also develop overnight across the area. The combination of light frozen... and spotty freezing precipitation could produce some slick spots on roadways overnight and early Saturday. Travelers should be alert for potential icy spots overnight into early Saturday morning.   ESS
