Flash Flood Watch Statement as of 2:27 PM EDT on October 16, 2014 Flash Flood Watch in effect from 6 PM EDT this evening through late tonight. The National Weather Service in gray has expanded the * Flash Flood Watch to include a portion of western Maine... including the following areas... Androscoggin... coastal Cumberland... coastal Waldo... coastal York... interior Cumberland... interior Waldo... interior York... Kennebec... Knox... Lincoln and Sagadahoc. * From 6 PM EDT this evening through late tonight * rain will become heavy at times late this afternoon in Maine and continue into the overnight hours. The main concern is for south through east facing higher terrain of the western Maine mountains and foothills. 3 to 4 inches of rain will be possible in these areas and this may lead to isolated flash flooding.
